This exhibition reveals the importance of geometry throught the artist's oeuvre, from his earliest small-scale sculptures to his last monumental works and including his drawings, paintings, and photographs. The book takes its title from Smith's days at the Art Students League in New York, where he learned about cubism, constructivism, and progressive social movements - what Smith called "cubes and anarchy."
